Wine tasting in Sonoma Valley California – More Please Sir!

Today I’ve got a funny travel photo about Wine Tasting in the Sonoma Valley from Turner who runs Around The World in 80 Jobs. You can follow him on @80worldjobs on Twitter and Facebook.

Wine tasting is often referred as an upmarket form of drinking beer at the pub. But it usually involved being ferried around a wine region for a day and often (over) sampling the reds or whites, or usually both! At the end of the day, your liver is a bit more pickled than it was beforehand, and you credit card has copped a hammering because you have bought about ten boxes of wine that might just last you for the next week.

In effect, wine tasting is an upmarket form of alcoholism sometimes!

But anyway, Turner sent me this funny travel photo of himself. This is him going out for ‘only one drink’…

Wine Tasting From The Biggest Wine Glass

Turner says ‘The big wine glass was me in Sonoma after a day of wine tasting…I couldn’t get enough.’

Ha ha, there would be nothing like following up a big day of sampling wines by downing a few more bottles at night with a few friends!

It looks like this glass is perfectly matched to the massive wine barrel I spotted on a Wine Tour in Mendoza. I’m willing to test the theory that drinking red wine is good for you! By drinking this entire barrel of Malbec in Turner’s massive big wine glass.

Hey, I’ve got a scientific background. I am always keen to test for evidence, even if I have to subject myself to the drinking lots of red wine test! The locals in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal think this is a good idea, and so do I!
