It’s time to send out some pics of Plane Crashes and incidents, just to make you uneasy about your next flight! Don’t worry these are non-fatal ones, but they’re enough to make you think ‘how the hell did this happen?’
Anyway, whilst some of these photos can be a little off putting, it doesn’t matter what sort of media frenzies you see on the news about the latest plane crash or aviation incident – you are roughly 720 times more likely to die in the car on the way to the airport than you are from air travel.
That’s because there are so many rules and regulations slapped on the airlines, that they have to do all sorts of maintenance and safety procedures. If they don’t there is no airline business anymore! However, that depends on what countries you fly in and with what airlines – some are better than others!
I’ve mentioned before how Air Crash Investigations (or Mayday) is a great show, and it amazes me how a simple error or a small part can make a large plane fall out of the sky. But because of these stuff ups, everyone learns from these and airlines and plane manufacturers continuously improve their procedures and designs to minimise the chances of something going wrong in the future.
