For the movie buffs out there, Despicable Me and it’s sequels have been one of the most popular computer animated movies of recent times, especially the characters of the many Minions that are featured.
A minion is someone who follows their master relentlessly and takes pretty much anything they say as gospel!
But when it comes to the movie, a minion is usually a yellow creature with one or two eyes.
Anyway, none of that stuff is relevant when there are 150 people dressed up as minions to drink beer at the cricket! And I went to another one of these mass dress up parties at the Australia vs England game at the Gabba in Brisbane during early 2014.
Anyway, previous incarnations of dress ups at this English invented game that I’ve been to include The Smurfs, Where’s Wally and Lifesavers.
The basic concept is to end up on national (and international) television.
You’ll see what I mean below!

Yes, it was a bit crazy. It’s amazing what factories churn out these days. Background is that someone does this every year and the aim is to have 150 turn up in the same costume. It’s a logistical nightmare, but it somehow works!
