Guano Guano = Bat Poo!
For those from the biology world, you would know that Guano Guano is a Quechua word that can be defined as the ‘excrement (feces and urine) of cave-dwelling insectivorous bats, seabirds, and seals.
Guano has been used by humans for ages, especially for use as a fertiliser and as an ingredient in explosives, and that’s because a high nitrogen content is required for both uses.
You can even buy Bat Guano on Amazon!
Unfortunately, Guano has been the inspiration for the name of a Cafe located at the Grand Canyon in Arizona:
But don’t laugh too quickly, especially for the ladies out there!
Guano is often used in women’s makeup! Cosmetics that contain Guano include Mascara and foundation.
Nah, I’m only joking. Guano for use in makeup is an Urban Myth!
So if you venture out to the Grand Canyon, make sure you check out the Guano Cafe, and have a giggle at its name!
Whilst eating something that literally translates as ‘The Bat Shit Cafe!’. Maybe buy some Shit For Sale on the way!
