There’s nothing like a cold beer on a hot day. I even have a page on this silly website devoted to the Beer Index, a shoddy cost of living matrix highlighting the cost of each country to travel in via their beer prices. In fact, if this stupid website wasn’t a travel blog, it would be a beer blog based on the number of articles relating to the amber fluid.
Things like the following:
- Space Beer!
- Sake Bomb
- The Beer Tower
- Beer Vending Machines
- Happy Beer!
- Knockout Beer!
- The Beer Can Balancing Man
- Beer Cup Snake
- The Beer Chandelier
- My Wife’s Bitter
- Efes Pilsen
- Pub Of The Year
Of course, you can go down to the local pub or beer stores to purchase the amber ale, but I found a ‘drinking establishment’ that claims to be the ‘World’s Steepest Pub’
It’s not located on the side of Mount Everest, K2, or any other geological marvel that possesses mad people to risk their life to scale up a mountain for an adrenalin rush.
No, the ‘World’s Steepest Pub’ is located in a street in New Zealand!
Because the sign says so!
The World’s Steepest Beer Store or Pub. Not Really..
The so called ‘World’s Steepest Pub’ is located on The World’s Steepest Street, which is Baldwin Street in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Looks like the person who lives here must drink the most amount of beer in the world’s steepest street! Someone with a bit of woodworking skills must have been thinking of having a little bit of fun whilst taking advantage of being located on a steep incline.
In reality, the ‘World’s Steepest Pub’ isn’t actually a licensed premises that you can just walk into off the street and ask for a few pints of ale.
It’s just someone’s modest house! Check it out!
Yes, I love it when someone takes the piss out of the place where they live!
Obviously, this place was up for sale. I’m not sure that the World’s Steepest Pub at the front was used as a selling point by the real estate agent trying to market this place to all of the potential booze heads in Dunedin.
But you just never know, stranger things have happened!
