It’s time for a silly Ball By Ball Cricket Video again.
Previous incarnations on the website have include Where’s Waldo? He’s At The Cricket and 150 people dressed up as life savers. I tend to be dragged into these things because I have a friend who has a friend who manages to book an entire bay of seats at the Brisbane Cricket Ground (known as the ‘Gabba’) each year, and the tradition is to have everyone dressed up in ‘uniform’.
For example, as Where’s Waldo!
Like most celebrations in Australia, like the Camel Cup and the Cockroach Races, going to the cricket for the day is just a thin disguise for a booze up (for example, check out the Beer Cup Snake). It’s also a good excuse to get dressed up in a silly costume which usually means you end up on television for the cheap entertainment of viewers at home.
Anyway, I put together a short cricket video of the day which shows the carnage that is possible.
This year, the theme was having everyone dressed up as the Smurfs. I’ve never seen so much blue face paint in my entire life.

I don’t think this one will be making a children’s channel anytime soon!
