Air Lines with a Laugh and Funny Paint Jobs!
Air Lines are an obvious form of transport that us Travel Addicts require to see this awesome world of ours. It would take a long time to hitch hike around the world, even though some crazy individuals have tried doing that. But nothing trumps the aeroplane at the moment to get you from Point A to Point B in the quickest time possible. That is, until someone invents how to teleport us around the world in an instant, which means that Boeing and Airbus would be broke in an instant!
Anyway, when you do fly, most of the time, most Air Lines tend to take themselves a bit too seriously. I don’t actually mind that because I really down want one of their planes falling out of the sky, especially when I am flying in one! But when you board the planes, their paint jobs are usually pretty standard, and represent a ‘brand’ that represents something on the more serious side. And most of them keep the white paint on, which is probably cheaper!
But an airline in South Africa has obviously thought ‘sod that’ and decided to use their sense of humour when painting the planes in their fleet.
Check out the funny ‘Flying 101’ livery from Kulula Air Lines. Kulula is a low-cost South-African airline that pokes fun at itself!
The wide shot doesn’t really say much, but look at bit closer at how they’ve labelled the different sections of the plane!

More Air Lines Stuff
As long as their safety record is OK, and they don’t resemble the 1980’s spoof Airplane, I’d like to fly on one of these Funny Air Lines!
I like it! I wonder if it’s the same on the entire fleet, or if the quirky labels change.
Awesome photos and nice to see an airline with a sense of humor; but why bile green?
I love Kulula, they have sense of humor in everything they do – even their pilots and crew has a sense of humor.
How funny and bizarre! “Nose cone” and “The Big Cheese” lol. Cool photos.
